what is the best way to burn this onto dvd on my computer?

i have entourage season 3 on my hard drive and it is about 4.6 GB's. it's all avi files. do i use avi to dvd converter to compress files and then burn with nero?

or can i use something like dvd shrink to compress then burn?

i just need to know where to go from here to get all of files onto my one disk that's 4.7 GB capability.
