im tryingn to hookup a windows xp and xbox 360 on a linksys wireless router

using a linksys cable modem? i plug the router into the slot on the back of the modem, i plug that into the internet on the back of the router, and then plugged the xbox 360 to the back of the router along with the computer, it worked for the computer but when we ran test connection on the xbox it said cables disconnected, HELP!
