...upgrade for a slow PC? To give a little more info, I have a 2.6ghz P4, 512mb RAM, and a new 256mb ATi graphics card. My computer has incredibly slow frame rates when playing flight sims. In Task Manager System Performance, I typically notice between 200,000-250,000k physical memory available out of 522,000k during normal PC operation. Sound normal or low?Would RAM be my biggest concern of upgrade? If so, would 1gb cut it for gaming, or should I go ahead and order 2gb?Trying to do what I can with this computer for the best gaming possible.Thanks.

Yes Ram and Video Cards are the 2 major factors in video games. 2 GB of ram will allow you to play almost any video games without any problems.

If your motherboard will hold it, get 2gb of RAM. For the best graphics performance, a bigger video card should be had. I am unable to play the newest Flight Sim because the frame rate is so slow. Try and get a 512mb graphics card or higher.

im going with, have at least 1 gig, i don't think you need 2, since it wont make a difference. Save money man just have a 1 gig and you should be fine.

you didn't mention what video card you have but, yes upgrade your ram to at least 1gb, 2gb if you have the money and your board will accept it, also, don't just look at the amount of ram on a video card, memory speed is actually a little more important, get something with gddr3 ram, if you want something pretty decent look at spending around 200 dollars, if you have the money look at an nvidia 8600, pretty decent performance and its direct x 10 so you won't have to upgrade it right away when all the new dx10 games come out.
