| ...person's knowledge? I recently interviewed an extremely qualified job candidate. Unfortunately, that person did not get the job. However, a friend of mine at another company is looking for qualified candidates. He asked me to forward any resumes of people who I would recommend. Is it wrong (unethical, illegal, subject to lawsuit, etc) to forward the resume without that person's consent or knowledge?

| It is unethical. Although you may have good intentions such as helping out your friend, the person may not like the job offered by your friend or he may want to know the company first. It is best to advise him, so he will know what to do when he is called for an interview.
