I work at little discount store and i received a 100dollar check. but few days later the bank send me the check with a note sayin that the check owner's bank has been closed. i have their names and driver license numbers on it. i heared there is something called Check Buster? (not sure the names right) and they help ppl to find the money back.... can some one tell me about it?

some credit uninions will honor a member's check even if they do that and they open another account. call the number for the bank and tell then you want to verufy funds on that check, in most states, a check written on a closed account is "felony theft by check". that means that when the person wrote the check, no matter the amount, he or she had no intent of paying it. in most places that check can be immediatly sent to your local authority without notice to the check writer.... ie you can send it to the da's office without having to deal with the hoopla of going through the local soliciter(da) whatever. check with your local constable or sheriff (who usualluy deals with hot checks).
