this type of business.? There are no liquor stores close to where I anticipate in opening it. It isnt near schools or churches. The location is very ideal. Busy maine street, plenty of parking, most people in the area drink and have to drive to the city to get their alcohol. I want to sell lottery tickets,beer, wine,ice snacks and tobacco products. The store will be located beside a video store that gets great business. Im unsure of where to obtain licenses, permits and such. I would like to talk to other owners of such a bussiness to determine costs of running busines and projected profits. I have a silent partner who is putting up their money for this. I need to show him a presentation of facts and figures. Any input would be greatly appreciated. No web sites where I can purchase books on this please. They are not as helpful as you think.

You don't ask a businessman those questions. It's professionally unethical. You're basically asking how to do it and live life happily ever after. Your silent partner won't be silent when he finds out that you don't know what you're doing. You want to get rich quick and you don't even know the consequences. I suggest you read two books:Principles of ManagementPrinciples of MarketingYou'll be in too deep because you'll be blamed for the money that was wasted.
