| myself and my boyfriend were bribed )with the promise of paying off our council tax debt) into getting a mortgage on a house we were renting from his parents. i didn't think this was all completely kosher whatsoever and backed out, however the house was sold to another buyer and they received the monies - typically £90,000. they are still hassling my boyfriend who is now stuck in a bedsit, paying them all of his spare cash a month (about £2,000 is owed in solicitors fees and in the council tax which they had already paid for us). i know he has no legal obligation to pay them this money back as the only arrears are between my boyfriend and his parents, however, we need to move in together soon and this is the only thing standing in our way, should i speak to the CAB? i would like personal opinions please.

| Are you saying his parents should still pay off your council tax debt and solicitor even though you backed out of buying the house? Why should they?
