 Credit card hassles? I payed off my credit card after I was given a "settlement offer" and now they are saying that I still owe? I am trying to buy a house and they wont send me anything stating that it is paid. I've tried to call them 4 times to get this settled, but I keep getting the run-around from them. What can I do to make sure they give me a receipt and copy of the "settlement agreement". As of now, asking politely has gotten me nowhere.
