She inherited her father's acne? My daughter is 12, and in modeling/acting classes. It looks like she's inherited my husband's skin (acne), and we are trying to find an effective way to stop the acne before it gets to the point where a little concealer won't cover it.
I've bought Neutrogena and Clearasil facial cleansers, but they dry her skin terribly - even when followed by an oil-free moisturizer. I've heard about the toothpaste remedy, but I'm afraid it will create dry, flaky patches on her delicate skin. She's very fair-skinned and everything seems to be more noticeable on her than other people.
Is there an OTC treatment besides toothpaste and facial cleansers that you have found effective? Should I just take her to a dermatologist?
