well it depends on the detail and if you want colour or not but roughly it will take about that long start to finish as the artist will make a stencil then transfer it to tattoo outline paper and shave the area that will be tattooed and then finally they will have you select colours that you want and then the will begin to ink the outline of all 3 stars and change needles after outlining to shading and then shade in all 3 so roughly 30 mins does not sound all that off for the entire procedure

Yeah...probably about 30 minutes. Like the people above me pointed out...the set-up takes a while (the artist has to get the ink prepared, do the stenciling, etc.), then do the outline and coloring (if you are getting them colored in). My heart tattoo took about 30 minutes, and it's pretty small. Don't worry...it goes by fast.
