Heredity Hair?

I've inherited my mom's side of the family hair. But it's way worse. My Hair is very thick and curly. Even chemical straightening didn't work, just dried out my hair. My hair is very frizzy and I don't know what to do. Straightening irons and blowdriers just leave my hair poofy. The only thing I can get my hair to do is a messy bun or when i bribe my mother to come over and french braid it. Any suggestions on how to tame my wild mane?

Apply garnier fructis sleek and shine smoothing serum then straighten it, apply more when finished. it works for mee
