i have a night out tomorrow and couldn`t get booked in to get a fake bake done at a salon,so i`m having to buy a fake tan and get my friend to apply it for me,any suggestions on a good one that doesn`t look orange and is easy to apply?Has anyone tried the spray tan you buy in bottle if so was it any good??help needed,thanx.I`m very pale skinned and dont take a natural tan at all just burn!!

I have used L'oreal spray, like you said from the bottle. Works well, but still is not the same thing as the real tan. Actually i dont think there is a fake tan that is as good as real tan. Cant you just go the solarium for 20 minutes? I dont believe there is not a place that would not let you in without a booking. It is probably cheaper and looks MUCH BETTER. Applying fake tan on dark skin is much better, then you look more pampered, less orange.

if you are fair/medium like me, then i can tell you that anything from the pharmacy is useless, and don't bother.As far as spray on's, one that is affordable ($35 aussie dollars) is MODEL CO. from Myer. easy to use. not TOO orangey, (use in moderation).If you want the fail safe option then try an Instant bronzer that develops over time. I used one that was a sort of baby poo browny-greenish colour when you applied it... frightening! but the logic is there. if the undertones in your skin are yellowy, then most tans and bronzers will turn you orange. but the green/brown tint will counteract this...That was the best one I ever had- "Face of Australia" I think was the brand... Don't 4get to exfoliate!!

Ola,Yeah i have used Salon bronze thats a spray on tan..It works and doesnt leave you looking all orange like other self tans.. the only thing is you must get someone to spray it on for you coz when i did it by my self it was VERY dark around my joints and it looked like zebra stripes around my ankles coz of the way i was standing to spray it on.. So salon bronze works but you must get someone to spray it on evenly for you..

Hi St. Tropez is probably the best but it's also more expensive. I use Loreal Summer bronze Gel and that's really good just don't apply much on your ankles and knees.

its got to be johnsons holiday skin its the best around although dove is also very good if u go for the normal to darker it comes up really nice i have quite pale skin to, remember to exfoliate tho!!

Johnson & Johnsons makes a lovely subtle colour change and you can just add the next day to it darker..
