Belly button piercing. Plz help me!?

i'm 14 and i'm planning on asking my mom to let me get my belly button pierced when she gets home from work. we are goin on a cruise in a few weeks. how can i get her to let me have it done? will swimming in the ocean make it infected or anything?

3 weeks isn't enough time for a belly button piercing to heal. Odds are it will get infected or just HURT! Salt water in a wound is terrible pain! I recommend waiting until after the cruise for the piercing.

yessssss it'll get infected beccause that biachhhhhhhh is dirty and u need to have it cleannnnnnnnnnn for 6 months.

well first i would talk to her about it and ask her, if she says yes it probably wont be a good idea to go in the ocean only because it would sting. but it wont get infected. the ocean is salt water. im sorry but if you have a wound salt water will cure it. and clear it right up. it will hurt at first but it wont get infected. but i think you should wait until it completely heals.

it hurts dont do it and it takes about 1-2 months for it to look good

i got my belly button pierced about 4 monthes ago. the guy who did it told me that i couldnt swim in the ocean or chlorinated water for 2 weeks. also when they first do it all you have in there is a metal stud which you need to keep in for a month or two.but the best way to ask her.. well my mom let me get mine done as a gift becuase of my good report card. i'm 15, and some places dont even let you get it pierced unless your 16. but i'd say your best bet is to be nice about it and make it sound like you've earned it.
