I'm sorry i hacn't really looked into this subject. But I will try to tell you as much as I can. I know in Taoism and Confucism, they believe in a Heaven. I think they believe that sages can ascend to heaven like Jesus was said to :P In their human form. I also know that Taoists believe in spirits, good and bad. Buddhists believe in reincarnation. There is even a special book that a particular sect of Buddhism that is called "Tibetan book of the dead." :P I've always ment to read it (i bet u can find it all online). But basicaly that book tells of the tests your soul is said to go through when you die. For example there is one about going into the light. The book is suposed to help guide you to the ultimate destination. Some other tests are tests given by gods. Like a god and goddess tempting you with sexual appeal. At the end, if your lucky enough to get reincarnated as a human, you go to a room where you see all these people having sex. And then you pick one, and you become that child right when it is concieved. Karma is said to determine what you are reincarnated as. You can also go to hell in Buddhism, but i think it is only temporary and you will be reincarnated again. You can also be reincarnated as a god! Also if you have good karma, you suposed have more control on what your next body will be like, like what gender, and it will be better suited for you.

edit: seeking, i'd like to also add that Taoists normaly DO beleive in gods, even though it isn't spoken of in the Tao Te Ching. They believe that the Tao created the gods, and that the gods are not all powerful, but the Tao is. So i guess you could say their gods are like mini-gods lol, or maybe angels o_O. For example they have the Jade Emperor, and Lao Tzu is said to be a god and advisor to the Jade Emperor.
