There are no rock-solid facts about the afterlife. It all depends on your beliefs. A Christian or Catholic would say their loved-one was in heaven. An atheist may completely ignore the idea of an afterlife. There is really no answer for this kind of question, but no matter what ANY religion or belief says, he lives on in your heart and he looks down on you.
