I blame this question's nonsensical nature on the fact that you're a single mom.

Maybe "catclawrum" (I assume this is your imaginary friend) was abandoned as a child by his single mother. This would be remarkably like what happened to Voldemort in Harry Potter. If your imaginary friend is magical, I'd watch out. He might start killing other imaginary people and threatening the entire imaginary magical world with his powers.
