Hello.I'm writing here hoping to find advice from you in a difficult situation.I am 7 weeks pregnant and my gynaecologist thinks that taking Ciprofloxacin pills during the 4th week of pregnancy might cause malformations to the baby, therefore abortion is mandatory (?!). (I must specify that the only exam he made was the Endovaginal Ultrasound in the 6th week, that confirmed the pregnancy).Well, my husband and I have decided first to make some investigations on the fetus and then take a decision in this matter.What do you think about this situation and which investigations do you recommend?I am worried by the thought that relevant tests should be made during later weeks of pregnancy - when abortion would be complicated and would leave deeper marks on us.
