Please describe your can opener in another question.Then we can tell you how to use it.One of the more popular can openers has two long handles and one thing you twist around. Take the end where the two handles meet or the head and place the blade on the inside of the can lip and the grabber wheel on the outside. Close the two handles together tightly and twist the handle near the head and cut all around the lid.Hopefully this will help.
