I've never heard of anyone celebrating their engagement anniversary, lol.. but, instead of buying a gift.. why don't you do something for him to celebrate? Cook a nice dinner, get into some sexy lingerie, give a much needed massage. A lot of couples I know give out little coupons on anniversaries, like promises of 'one night to watch sports with no complaints' and things like that.
