If he's falling asleep at the breast, chances are, he's gotten plenty.If he's not fussy when he wakes up and doesn't seem to need extra feedings during the day, I'd say he's fine. Its always hard to know just how much they're getting when you breastfeed, because you can't see it.A baby doesn't have to nurse long periods of time to get all the milk he/she needs. 10-15 minutes at each breast, or even total, may be all he needs.
