The force of gravity that we feel results from attraction to the mass of the earth. As we move toward the centre of the earth (underground) the mass that we have already passed attracts us upwards and results in a decrease to the overall downward pull of gravity. Once we reach the centre the forces on us are in balance - we may then be very weakly attracted toward the moon
