Go out to a place near a water source. Hang a white sheet on a clothes line and shine a bright light on it. You can either watch and catch the bugs as they are attracted to the light or leave it there and collect the bugs early in the morning while it is still cold. You will get a lot. I am guessing this is for a class so good luck with it. For the other bugs just keep your eyes open and you will be surprised at what you find so have a net and jar with you at all times.
