When planning an outdoor ceremony/reception, you should ALWAYS have a back up plan for bad weather. If it's not pouring--you might be able to simply rent a tent. But I would DEFINITELY have a plan of what you'll do incase it's simply pouring down rain during your wedding/reception, and figure out how you will communicate that to guests, etc.
