Firstly, you don't always know where your food has come from, and one ought not [usually] believe what it says on the packet. Often, when they say, for example, "product of Ireland" (since that is where I am located), in reality, it means that it was merely packaged in Ireland. And if I do not know where my food came from, I cannot know how it was treated, in the case of it once being alive and conscious, and for me, this is of immence importance. Hence, I have excluded all such food products from my diet. You should visit PETA's website sometime.
