There is a lot of debate but no direct evidence. It is said to reduce blood pressure and the risk of heart attacks as can be seen from lower rates of cardiovascular problems in countries that drink a lot of red wine, but this is not the definate cause at this point. If you are takling about resveratol concentrations affecting mice, the equivalent wine intake required by a human to experience these effects is on the order of thousands of bottles of wine per week. So... unless you drink red wine really really regularly (as in constantly for the entire week) you won't get those types of effects.
