based on my management retail experience, we keep records of those who stole something or do bad things for the company like lot of absents, always late, having a late break, etc.. a company has a right to check for police records, but it doesnt mean that if you have one you wont be hired. taking picture is different matter. most companies dont take picture of their employee unless they get hired.
