I dont really like that way. To answer that, let me tell you a story. This happened to one of my best friends. You see, I have two friends, Ryan and Taylor. We have all known each other for a while and they have know each since they were four and they are now 24. In the future, I see them having that "white picket fence." Ryan never told her this but when he first saw her, at the age of four, he told ''asked'' his mom if that was an angel. It was kinda like what was said in SpiderMan. He loved her already and that is what he said. He liked her way before he started to like girls. He kinda kept a hidden crush from her. Anyway, Ryan was home-schooled because his parents moved a lot because of their job. They own this like amjor company which I really don't know much about. Taylor went on to regular high school. She was popular but they stayed friends. When her senior prom came around, instead of saying yes to all the guys that asked her, she was the one that asked Ryan. She didn't ask him because he never got to go, but because she wanted to spend it with him. Anyway, after this, she started having feelings for him. Of course, she kept it hidden. Now at 24, Ryan was almost engaged to a girl named Megan, but decided not to go through with it because he thought that Taylor may be the one for him. He told her how he felt and afterwards they became a couple. Then 6 months later, he proposed, in the sweetest way ever. On her birthday in March, he left her instructions and clues. He sortof made an treasure hunt/ obstacle thing in which she would receive one letter and would also receive clues to the next letter. There was a total of 11 letters (which was perfect cuz her birthday was 3/11) spelling 'WIL U MARY ME?" (All the letters were mixed up of course.) At night, The last clue led to the park in which they first met where she received the 'W'. On the bench it said to rearrange the letters. She did and it did spell WIL U MARY ME? She saw Ryan and started crying. Ryan then brought out little kids holding the letters on a big cardboard poster. (He got this idea from Meet The Parents.) She was still crying and there was silence. Ryan then walked her over to the port, where there was a small boat that you can row and he rowed her to the middle of the lake and then got down on one knee and asked her. She said yes and he opened the box and there was a toy carrot shaped into a ring. He said that every girl deserves a carrot. (implying CARAT) She laughed. He then said that even though he asked her now at 24, he will wait until she's ready. (She didn't want to get married until the age of 28.) He just wanted her to know that she was the one for him and that he was willing to wait. (Here i started crying.)(Meanwhile, since he had asked her parents and his parents for their blessing, we were all watching this happen on a live feed inside the community center. Taylor's mom was so sure that she would say yes she want to tape it so that Taylor could watch it and remember it forever.)She said Yes and that since he was so commited she was ready to get married now. (Meanwhile inside, their immediate family and friends were inside watching and cheered right after she said it.) From the happiness, Ryan quilckly stood up and forgot that the boat was small and he felll over. She started laughing and she helped him up. Then the newly engaged couple went inside the community center and everyone started crying, including me. Right now, they are in the middle of planning the wedding. They want to get married next year May 2008.I love the way that he proposed to her. I would do that for the one I love. But this HAS to be one of the most romantic way to propose. I plan on using this when I propose.
