My son is like that (loves fruit & high carb stuff, but not so much on veggies.) I hide veggies in everything...grilled cheese sandwiches, or I'll give him a small bite of a veggie with something on his plate that he really wants. Or (my son is 25 months) I tell him we're going to eat in a circle. So, he has to eat a bite of everything once before he gets a second bite of anything, and so on.He's getting much better about eating them because he knows he can't get up until I say he is done. I do, however, still give him a "My First Flinstone" vitamin, as recommended by his doctor.
