Paranormal activity is any experienced event that defies the logic of established scientific knowledge. In other words, there's no scientific explaination for something that happens, or it actually goes against accepted scientific norms. In this case, the event isn't "normal" and so it is classified as "not normal," or paranormal. Examples would be floating objects, water faucets turning on themselves, cold spots, etc. However, keep in mind many times things can be debunked through investigation of possible causes for the activity, such as an open window blowing a door shut.Ghost activity is any paranormal activity that is believed to be caused by spirit entities. There should be evidence (that's accepted as such in the paranormal science community at least) that shows that the experience was caused by a "ghost." Examples include: cold spots are recorded before or during an event, electronic voice phenomena (EVPs) are captured, electromagnetic field (EMF) readings are high, or an entity is actually captured on camera. It's believed there's more than just ghosts out there, including demons, faeries (leprachauns to most of us), mists, orbs, residual hauntings (the same action is repeated by a spirit), disembodied voices, and more. All would be considered "ghost" activity.
